In our school, every Friday we gather as a school and family community in something which is called "Family Gathering".  During Children's Book Festival Week we had all of our school and family members dress as their favorite book characters, carry a copy of the book, and join our Parade of Books.

Once our parade had ended it was still time to D.E.A.R. ( drop everything and read). As a family of people who love to read we took 10 minutes out of our morning to drop everything we were doing and read.
