I would not define myself as a rummage or garage sale enthusiast. For years I pass all of these events without taking notice. That was until last saturday when my telephone rang at 7 in the morning. It was best friend Susie needing a friend to go with her for her usual round of saturday garage sales. I would have said no if it weren't for the fact that our other best friend and usual "sale" companion just had surgery and is out of the picture for the the next few weeks. Taking this into mind and caving into the the pleading and promises of coffee and the phrase "oh you'll have a good time", I relented and climbed into my friends car at 7:30 am.
"Here's the list." she said "There's not much out there but we'll start with what's around here and then we'll just drive around looking for random signs with those sales that didn't make it into the paper."
So the first sale was the Lutheran Church Rummage Sale which was helping the new no kill animal shelter……………all I can say is Cowabunga!!!! There were so many scandinavian things including two sauna buckets, which I needed for my sauna at the stuga.
Here's a few of the other things I needed. I've already set my alarm clock for next Saturday. Unlike my other "sale" obsessed friends who caravan around Thursday and Friday mornings, I will only go on Saturdays……..sometimes.
All of this for $3.00. They polished up beautifully.
This lovely girl just caught my eye. All for $2.00 . She comes from the Tobias Art Studio in North Dakota.
