The day after Thanksgiving

So I missed a post yesterday……I was very busy cooking but more importantly I was spending some quality time with family and friends.  Today, the day after Thanksgiving, we have opted not to have retail therapy on "Black Friday" but to continue enjoying our time together.  In lieu of writing a list of 10,000 things I’m thankful for I will leave a few quotes that I find perfect for the topic of gratitude.  I’m thankful for and appreciate everyone and thing that crosses my path whether it be good or bad. There is a lesson in it all.

So I’m off to play some music………….

"Appreciation is the highest form of prayer, for it acknowledges the presence of good wherever you shine the light of your thankful thoughts. " Alan Cohen

" Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.  It turns what we have into enough, and more.  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. " Melody Beattie

"Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. " Melody Beattie

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom."  Marcel Proust

  2. Hi all, I just want to share my anticipation for the wonderful spring we will all have on the Lake in the Sky at the Top of the World. The Stugar’s and Ferry Docks are all undergoing refreshment and transformation.
In the midst of a cold January day, I prefer to visualize a float on the lake.
