Hello again hello……my it's been a time since I've been here on the blog. It was the flu, and then birthdays and finally Children's Book Festival week. I was the chairperson this year and I want you to know that we had a spectacular time.

Each day in our cafe we had a different book theme.

Friday: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Day.

The main event, however, happened to be our pirate scavenger hunt which ended in the pirate cove for the book swap. 2 weeks before book week kids would bring the lightly used books from home and drop them in the swap box. During the book swap each child got to pick a "new" book to take home.

On Friday's at school we start our day off with family gathering. During book festival week everyone came dressed as their favorite book character for the Parade of Books…..more on that tomorrow.

Have a look and see how much fun we had. 🙂

The cafe staff were incredible one day they were dressed like Dr. Seuss, the next day like oompah loompahs, and so on.
