Right behind our house, the house that I grew up in, was a wonderful campfire girls day camp called Camp Nadaka.

I have so many wonderful memories of this place. What a great suprise it was to see it still there, undeveloped, and now open to the public. It was as if I was transported instantly back into time. The chime of the gathering bell, pitched tents in the field, arts&crafts, endless camp songs day and night, wandering paths, the fairy ring, learning how to cook on an open fire and cooking a pit meal for 10 of my campiest friends, and my most importance rememberance and find was to discover that turtle rock is still there.

Yay!!! What years were you there? I attended summer day camp sessions in the 1970’s… probably ’74-76?
