And the Sun Appeared

I've been chilled to the bone this winter. It has been so unusally cold here. When I woke up Saturday morning, I knew something had changed while I slept, because I was awoken by the loud chatter of the birds. Once I opened my eyes I noticed that my bedroom was filled with sunlight.

I swear I could hear my garden calling me…."Come down, I'm waking up."

I put on my muck luck's,wool sweater, and headed out for my morning ramble, and who did I meet down in the garden but my little boy "O". I guess the garden was calling him too.

"Hi Mom! I'm collecting vetch for my fairy houses."

And with that, I went to my part of the garden to collect the rest of last falls carrots. Can you believe they are still wonderful?

Many of our discussions during this first garden saturday were about planting and what will we grow this year.

I'm going to whisper this because I don't want winter to hear but,……"I think spring is coming."

During our sunny day, I also worked on my String A-Long bag. It's coming nicely! It isn't too late to join. I know everyone would love to have you. Have a great day and may you find the sun!

Isn’t gardening fun, especially when you can share it with your children!
