Prom-enade 2010

Aunt Susie offered her house to get ready in. Big sister Zaina came with bags of shoes,make-up,finger-nail polish, and a car load team of "make-over" artists for her little sister's prom.

"Ok mom I'm ready. How do I look?"

And there standing before me my sweet Mimi had transformed into my little lady.

Next it was off to meet friends and take photos. Many of these kids have been together since pre-school. I I can't believe how quickly time has gone, how many happy memories we all have had together. These images looking very grown-up and different than those sweet little four year olds I knew back when. It left me feeling completely nostalgic. Even though they are grown up they are still sweet.

  5. What a milestone. All the best to your daughter. I have to say that prom dresses have changed a bit since 1984. It was all gunny sack and floor length gowns back then – not so much exposure!

  9. Aren’t sisters wonderful? When I was pregnant with my second baby, I wanted another girl so that Zuzu would have sister. There’s nothing like em.

  11. I had a gunny sack prom dress too. The styles are so different now. The juniors wear the big poofy dresses and the seniors where cocktail dresses. Go figure? But the good thing is that she can take this off to college and wear again.
