Afternoon Musings

I could hear the music from upstairs. There's no mistaking it. The sound of New Orleans street jazz.  Along with our festive music was tons of laughter, so I left my desk and went downstairs to see what was going on.

First I was greeted by this talking head ,"Momma, it's time for king cake."

"Yes, Mom! It's time for tea and cake." She said in her best "Stewy" voice.

Waiting for me was this wonderful sweet pause in my day.

As we continued our sweet adventure, the music picked up and then things just got silly.
